"If the world can offer greater pleasures, they must be far to seek": so wrote Elspeth Huxley about her visit to the Kenyan coast. Seven centuries of interwoven cultures are reflected on these shores where Africa and Arabia meet. The muezzin's call to prayer meanders through white buildings, where the perfumes of Arabia linger: cinnamon, cloves and cardamom mix with the salty smell of the sea. The contrasting colors of the marine parks are bordered by the yellows, reds and purples of the bouganvillea, cassia and jacaranda, whilst the sea breezes whisper through the palms.
The beaches are "out of this world": rolling sand dunes at Lamu, long sandy stretches at Kiwayu, palm-fringed bays at Watamu, or inland creeks at Mida and Kilifi reflect a variety unmatched anywhere in the world. The best part is that they are not overcrowded. No "wall to wall" deck chairs and umbrellas here!
For the active, scuba diving, windsurfing, goggling, water skiing or deep sea fishing are within easy reach. The hotels are of international repute, with the finest seafood that Kenya has to offer, at affordable prices.
We suggest to our clients to savor the coast. Bermuda, Bahamas, or Grand Cayman - none can match the color, diversity, solitude and activities of the Kenyan coast.
