What to take
Safari operators will usually provide a list of things to bring not provided on your tour.
Most important is a hat and sunscreen, since the sun can be quite intense near the equator.
Few would forget their camera equipment, but a good pair of binoculars can also come in handy for animal watching.
If your camping, bring a flashlight and spare batteries.
For camera equipment, some type of zipable bag is recommended to keep the dust out.
Camping supplies such as tents and sleeping bags are usually provided by safari operators when necessary.
Insect repellent is always a good idea, particularly ones effective against mosquitoes.
Perhaps the most important thing to bring and one often forgotten is sunglasses.
The strong tropical sun can be annoying and could potentially damage your eyes.
